Bastard is the first part of a trilogy of projects by the New York based choreographer of Slovak origin Pavel Zuštiak, who pursues the themes of displacement, transformation, and “otherness.” The inspiration for the solo show Bastard was the controversial novel The Painted Bird from 1956 by Jerzy Kosiński.
