Morrissey (UK) - Tour of Refusal 2009
9/7/2009 20:00 - This summer the long suffering of local music fans will come to an end: on July 9 Morrissey will perform in the Czech Republic for the first time.
“He will come to Prague’s Archa Theatre to present his new album Years of Refusal. It will be an amazing concert, and because it's a small venue, audiences will have the chance to be really close to this huge star of world rock,” said Borek Jiřík of the Charm Music agency.
Morrissey – Morrissey, one of the most influential artists in history, as well as a well-known animal rights activist and vegetarian, is mysterious in everything that he sings and says. His songs are elegant, emotional, and replete with powerful themes and stories. They also contain a lot of surprising tenderness. Everyone will find something close to their heart and exciting in them, as attested by his more than 80 million records sold.
Years of Refusal was released this year on February 16 to rave reviews, and Morrissey himself considers it his best album. His concerts are major events. His three concerts in London and Manchester as part of a May British tour were sold out in 15 minutes.
