Potage du Jour, the Swiss improvisational trio, is singer/vocal performer Franziska Baumann, saxophonist Jürg Solothurnmann, and pianist Christoph Baumann. Potage du Jour uses modes that focus on interactivity. Shapes and attitudes that surge within the musical process are registered, read and developed accordingly. It is a game with attentive listening, quick reflexes and a broad sound pallette. The inventions breathe with vocal actions, chants, rhythm pulses, sound cascades, reverberations, melody clips and unusual sounds.
